The woods are a fascinating place.

No, it's not just trees and sticks.

It's much more than that.

The woods are our ancestors’ home. Our technology and modern standards of living have changed, but this doesn’t mean our genetics have. We were born to explore the woods

Respect your ancestry and embrace this truth. You’ll be surprised how exciting and interesting the woods are…

There’s more than meets the eye

The forest is home to trees, fungi, edible fruit, flowers, and so on. There are also tons of wildlife, including deer, squirrels, bears, foxes, owls, birds, and other local species in the woods too.

And don't forget about geography. The woods are home to peaks, valleys, ponds, lakes, streams, rivers, waterfalls, mountains, caves, and more. These geographical features provide unique sights, challenges, and photography opportunities.

There is plenty to go explore and see in the woods.

You may even find antique relics from people who've previously roamed the land you're exploring. From antique bottles to remnants of old buildings, there are tons of interesting things people have left behind for us to discover.

Every time you go into the woods, it's an adventure.

Whether you're walking on a marked trail or you're brave and venture off the beaten path.

Time will fly by. And you’ll have fun, whether you like it or not.

There is so much to see and do in the woods, it’s impossible to get bored once you realize how much there is to see and do.

Let all your troubles fall away

Don't forget, nature is healing. There’s just something about reconnecting with nature that calms the mind. This is called nature therapy.

Maybe it’s the fresh air. Perhaps hearing the calming sounds of trees rustling in the breeze and birds chirping in the background. Or maybe nature calms the mind because it gets you off your phone.

Regardless, entering the real, physical world is good for you. Try it.

Even if you only have a few spare minutes, go out in the woods. You can experience the benefits of nature therapy in as little as 5 minutes. I’ve had several times where I immediately gained a calmer mind the second I stepped into the woods. You’d be surprised how fast nature can heal you.

Nature therapy is an excellent strategy for stress relief and relaxation.

Not just for relaxation…

Is the forest still too boring for you?

Try adventure therapy to improve your self-image and self-esteem. You’ll get heart-pounding, adrenaline-pumping thrills. And you can often get these thrills for FREE, depending on where you go and what you do.

There are plenty of adventurous activities to try, including:

-Rock climbing

-Backpacking

-Hiking

-Caving

-White water rafting

-Skiing

-Swimming

-And more

Wrapping up

The woods aren’t just a place best left for wild animals (but make sure to be careful around them, especially wild predators such as bears). The woods are our home too.

While we don’t physically live there anymore, the woods are still a deep element of our ancestry.

There’s a lot more than just sticks and rocks to go see. Nature has tons of sights and spots waiting to be discovered by you.

Whether you want someplace to relax and destress or you want to go somewhere that’ll get your heart racing, the woods have something to offer you.
