Is Learning Boring to You? Here are 5 Ways to Make Learning Fun!
Is learning boring to you? Do you find it hard to motivate yourself to learn, even when learning about topics you’re interested in? Or do you just want to make learning fun?
You’re in the right place.
Learning doesn’t have to be boring. In fact, it can be something that you enjoy!
Learning should be fun. You likely already enjoy learning to some extent. But you just don’t realize it yet.
That’s ok. I get it.
Schools often beat the fun factor out of education. If the teachers don’t, then the boredom and repetition of school will.
This is unfortunate. But you can gain or regain your enthusiasm for learning again!
Today, you’re going to learn 5 ways to make learning fun!
Without further ado, it’s time to enjoy learning again!
1. Choose things you want to learn about
If you want to enjoy learning, you’ve got to learn about topics you’re interested in.
If you’re not interested in the topic, then you’re not going to have fun.
Learning about topics you’re interested in will motivate you to continue learning. Learning about things you aren’t interested in will not motivate you. They’ll bore you.
If you don’t enjoy learning for the sake of learning, don’t learn about topics simply because someone else told you to. Find topics you want to learn more about.
Let your curiosity guide you.
2. Give yourself incentives
Reward yourself for learning.
Create a reward system that rewards you for accomplishing learning goals of your choosing.
You could give yourself small rewards for small learning goals that occur regularly.
For instance, for every hour you spend studying, you could spend 20-30 minutes going for a walk, playing video games, and so on.
Small, frequent rewards are great for reinforcing the habit of learning. They’ll motivate you to continue learning.
Or you could give yourself a large reward for a big learning goal.
For instance, you could buy yourself a brand-new outfit for using a skill to help someone else out.
Big rewards give you a goal to work towards achieving. You’ll look forward to achieving your goal not only for the sheer sake of the goal itself. The big reward sweetens the deal, increasing your desire to reach your learning goal.
In general, rewards are powerful motivators.
3. Teach your friends and family
Teaching friends or family members can be nerve-wracking.
The feelings where your stomach ties a knot. Where you feel like you’re about ready to explode your guts out. Your palms sweaty. Leg is shaking up an earthquake. Mind is racing. And so on.
Teaching someone else can be scary. But once you get into it, teaching others can be quite fun!
You get to talk with people about what you’re interested in! Who doesn’t love talking about their favorite topics?
I don’t know about you, but when I start talking about a topic I’m interested in, I just can’t stop talking. I’m usually quite reserved. But my mouth becomes a running faucet when I start talking about lifting, nutrition, music, and self-improvement.
Share your knowledge with others. You’ll help them learn something they potentially never knew before. And you boost the confidence you have in your knowledge at the same time.
You’ll feel like an expert. And that’s a rewarding feeling that makes your hard work studying worth it!
After all, sharing is caring!
And you’ll get to spend quality time with your friends and family!
4. Turn learning into an adventure
Learning is all about discovering information that you previously did not have.
So, take the opportunity to explore.
Find new information on the topics you’re interested in.
Learn about influential leaders in the topic that you didn’t know about.
Dive deep into the topics you’re interested in.
Go down rabbit holes. See where they take you. You may learn about similar or related topics you never knew about! You’ll be surprised where educational rabbit holes will take you.

5. Customize your learning journey
Everyone learns differently.
Some learn best by listening to educational material. Others learn best by reading. And others learn best by working with the material itself, and applying it to relevant situations.
Study in ways that work best for you. These ways should make learning feel easy most of the time for you.
There are so many different ways you can learn. Here are just a few:
Read books
Listen to podcasts
Read twitter threads
Watch YouTube videos
Make a Quizlet
Read articles or blog posts
Listen to audiobooks
How one person gives information may resonate with you more than how someone else gives the same piece of information.
Seek out multiple sources of educational content to find what makes the most sense to you.
There’s bound to be a way to learn that’s easiest for you.
And when it’s easy to learn, it tends to be more fun to learn!
Learning should be fun
Learning should be a fun activity for you. It’s an opportunity for you to level up your mind.
You get to gain knowledge that can help you reach your goals.
Knowledge is powerful.
The knowledge you gain from learning about things you enjoy could take you to places you never would have imagined.
Take me for example. I became interested in self-improvement a few years ago. What I’ve learned about self-improvement transformed my life.
I went from being unhappy, unconfident, and overweight to happy, confident, and in the best shape of my life.
And now I’m using what I’ve learned to help you create a better life!
Learning could transform your life. You just need to take action using what you’ve learned.
And that’s when the real fun begins… When you’re making moves in your “real” life.
Use what you’ve learned to make your life more fun!
